Division of General Pediatrics

Pediatricians in the Division of General Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seek to improve the lives of children and families in South Florida and beyond by providing excellent clinical care, conducting research, teaching medical students and residents, and serving as advocates for children in the community. Our practice offers exceptional health care services for children - from newborns to young adults (age 21). We serve healthy children as well as those with a variety of complicated medical conditions in the following capacities:

In-patient services

General out-patient services

Developmental/behavioral pediatrics

As part of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, we are the only practice of our kind in South Florida.  Our faculty members are among the world’s experts in fields such as behavioral and developmental pediatrics.  In fact, the Miller School of Medicine has more child health professionals named to the Best Doctors in America list than any other pediatric health network in Florida.

When a pediatric specialist is needed, as part of the comprehensive healthcare services network, UChild Health, we are able to provide patients and their families seamless access to our colleagues in a variety of pediatric specialties like cardiology, endocrinology, nephrology and hematology/oncology.  We work as a team that includes patients, families, pediatricians, and specialists to put together a treatment plan, allowing for the best possible outcome.

All of our pediatricians are Board Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics, and work to promote and maintain the health and well-being through excellent family-centered care.  Many of our pediatricians have special interests and certification, including:

  • Lactation consultation
  • Complex medical conditions
  • International adoption
  • Twin deliveries
  • Genetic medical problems
  • Evaluating and caring for children with ADHD
  • Learning disabilities and school problems
