The Children’s Heart Center at the University of Miami and Holtz Children’s Hospital is an internationally respected center for the comprehensive care of children and adults with congenital heart disease. Our success is attributed to a multi-disciplinary team including cardiologists, cardiac intensivists, cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, cardiovascular technicians, and family members.

We are the only program in South Florida capable of caring for patients with congenital heart disease from the fetus through adulthood. As an academic institution, we are at the forefront of ground-breaking medical research.

We are the only center in South Florida that offers state-of-the-art cardiac services including:

  • Diagnosis and medical management of congenital heart disease
  • ICAEL accredited echocardiographic laboratory
  • Interventional catheterization and electrophysiology
  • Management of heart failure
  • Cardiac transplantation
