DXA Laboratory

The dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) lab offers state of the art equipment to assess bone mineral density and body composition in children and adults with specialized pediatric and adult software. DXA is currently the most widely used and most thoroughly studied bone density measurement technology. In addition, DXA also measures skeletal maturity and body fat composition and is used by pediatricians in diagnosing and monitoring treatment of disorders of bone mass acquisition.
