About Pediatric Urology Services

The Department of Pediatrics has a formal arrangement with a group of pediatric urologists to evaluate and treat children up to age 18 with urologic disorders. They are Dr. Rafael Gosalbez, Dr. Andrew Labbie, Dr. Michael DiSandro and Dr. Marcos Perez Brayfield. The four surgeons have special expertise in complex medical issues requiring urinary tract reconstruction.

The urologists see UM pediatric patients at ACC Clinic 5-B at UM/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Arrangements can be made through Patricia Bassett, R.N., their nurse liaison at UM/Jackson Memorial, by calling 305-585-5413. Urologic operations are scheduled at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
