The Neonatal Transport Team at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial is composed of a special group of physicians, nurses and respiratory therapists trained in the stabilization and care of the critically ill neonate during transport. Specialized equipment is used by the team to provide a high level of care while the infant is en route from the referring hospital to the Project: New Born Neonatal Special Care Center. The transport team is available 24 hours/day and is physician-accompanied.
