Information for Referring Physicians
The Division of Endocrinology offers the full complement of sophisticated tests required to diagnose endocrinology problems. These include growth hormone stimulation testing, gonadotropin stimulation testing, adrenal stimulation testing, thyroid ultrasound, DEXA scans, MRI and bone-age X-rays.
Through an association with the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) at the UM School of Medicine, UM pediatric endocrinologists are able to offer cutting-edge treatments for pediatric patients. In fact, the DRI's commitment to improving the lives of children has already resulted in landmark advances in gestational diabetes, transplant immunology, and islet cell isolation and transplantation.
