About the Division of Pediatric Neurology
The University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital Section of Child Neurology, through the Holtz Children’s Hospital, in affiliation with Miami Children’s Hospital Department of Pediatric Neurology strives to provide excellent patient care from the neonate to the young adult, with specialties in: developmental and behavioral disorders, epilepsy, headache, neuroimmunologic disorders, neuromuscular conditions, spasticity, and neurogenetics. Through this affiliation, we have the largest pediatric neurology group practice in the southeast with over 15 specialists and subspecialists, who are available to provide the most advanced and up-to-date diagnostic and therapeutic evaluation to patients from South Florida, the Caribbean and Latin America. Our attending physicians, who have a broad scope of research interests and specializations, are leaders in the community and beyond in matters of child advocacy, health, and development. A wide spectrum of neurologic disorders are treated yearly through the various outpatient clinics and inpatient services. The pediatric neurology subspecialty clinics are the largest in patient volume for both the Jackson Memorial Hospital Ambulatory Care Center and Children’s Medical Services.
