Pediatric and adolescent patients with complex renal diseases are referred to the Pediatric Nephrology Division’s fulltime faculty from South Florida, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. We provide comprehensive evaluations for the diagnosis and cutting-edge treatment for a wide range of renal disorders including:
With outpatient visits totaling approximately 2,100 per year, the Division's staff is an experienced interdisciplinary team, dealing not only with the medical complexities faced by children with serious disease, who often require hemodialysis and kidney transplantation, but also confronting the practical and psychological problems patients and their families experience. Outpatient renal clinics are held at convenient locations throughout Miami-Dade and Broward Counties including:
A separate contract with Broward General Medical Center and Children's Medical Service supports a collaborative effort for which the Division provides specialty pediatric renal care to patients of the greater Broward and Palm Beach Counties districts of South Florida. This includes monthly outpatient clinics and consultative services, as well as infusion treatments and intensive care services as required. For appointments at any of our convenient clinic locations, please call 305-585-6726 or 305-585-KIDS (5437).
