Pediatric Clinical Research
The Division of Pediatric Clinical Research assists UM pediatricians to conduct research in their areas of specialty interest by providing them with expertise in designing strong research projects, applying for grants, collecting and analyzing data, and writing results for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Members of the Division of Pediatric Clinical Research have extensive expertise and experience in clinical research. They include:
Steven E. Lipshultz, MD, Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Lipshultz is nationally known for his work in pediatric cardiomyopathy, especially as it relates to long-term cancer survivors and children with HIV infection.
Tracie Miller, MD, Director of the Division of Pediatric Clinical Research, is nationally know for her work in pediatric HIV and nutrition, as well as exercise in children with chronic illness.
James Wilkinson, MD, MPH, Senior Epidemiologist, is nationally known for his work in outcomes of critically ill children, HIV and cancer epidemiology.
