Professional Development

Medical Issues and Growing Child

Since 1995, the Mailman Center for Child Development (MCCD), has collaborated with Florida Diagnostic and Resources Systems (FDLRS) South and FDLRS-University of Miami to coordinate conferences that address the concerns of individuals with developmental disabilities and children with special health care needs and their families. We present the conferences in tandem with the MCCD’s commitment of improving the knowledge and skills of community professionals, paraprofessionals and parents. The areas of emphasis have included medical and health issues, early childhood development, prevention and intervention, and family relationships.

Continuing Education Credits are available.
