Graduate Education/Training : Leadership Development in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND )

Clinical Experiences

The LEND program offers training in a variety of clinical settings, including hospital, clinic, school, mobile van, community, court, and home. In order for a clinical setting to qualify for inclusion in the training curriculum, it must meet the following criteria:

  • It must involve the provision of prevention, diagnostic, assessment, or treatment services to CSCHN and their families, particularly those with or at-risk for neurodevelopmental and related disabilities
  • It must be an interdisciplinary setting, involving professionals from at least four different disciplines in the program. These may be any of the 15 core disciplines, or may include other disciplines such as ethics, law enforcement, special education, juvenile justice, immunology, epidemiology, community advocacy, public policy administration, and theology.
  • It must include a member of the core faculty as a primary professional involved in the rotation.
