Clinical/Evaluative Programs : Pediatric Psychology

Psychological Assessment Service

The Psychological Assessment Service (PAS) provides comprehensive evaluations of children and adolescents with a wide range of clinical problems, including learning disabilities, attention problems and developmental delays. Consultations and screenings are also available. Services are provided or supervised by licensed PhD clinical psychologists. The program is part of an interdisciplinary clinical, training and research facility, with on-site consultation available from other specialty services, including: speech and language therapists, audiologists and medical specialists.

Some of the most common concerns we see in patients include:

  • Constant school struggle, including reading difficulties and not meeting potential
  • Difficulty in communicating with others
  • Developmental delays
  • Gifted children

Psychological Assessment includes parent and child interviews and formal testing as well as input from teachers and therapists. We provide written reports to parents, schools and other professionals and make recommendations for treatment. Results and recommendations are communicated to parents in an interpretive session. While we do accept insurance, verification is required as pre-authorization is sometimes necessary.
