About the Children’s Heart Center
Ranked by US News & World Report as among the best cardiology programs in the country, the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Children’s Heart Center (CHC), located at Holtz Children’s Hospital, is an internationally respected center for the comprehensive care of children and adults with congenital and acquired heart disease that follows thousands of patients from South Florida and beyond. As faculty members of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, our specialists are at the forefront of ground- breaking medical research.
The CHC is the only full service program in South Florida that provides the full spectrum of congenital cardiovascular care from the fetus through to adult survivors with congenital disease at our adult congenital heart center. Our expertise goes beyond the practice of general pediatric cardiology and extends to all subspecialty fields including catheter based interventions, heart failure, transplant and electrophysiology. Our surgical program cares for all patients and specializes in the care of high-risk neonates.
We are the only center in South Florida with cardiac specialists providing state-of-the-art cardiac services for babies in the womb, newborns, children and adults including:

•ICAEL accredited echocardiographic laboratory
